The Akyem Kade police in the Kwaebibirem Municipality of Eastern region has arrested a forty-two year man by name; Osei Kojo Forson who is not a resident of Akyem Kade but on Saturday went to the funeral grounds in Akyem Kade with a pump action gun and gave several warning shots and threatened to kill the chief of Akyem Kade; Osaaberima Agyare Tenadu II which made everyone at the funeral ran helter skelter.

The Akyem Kade police commander Superetendant Agyenin Boateng speaking to the media has confirmed the unfortunate incidence and the arrest and hinted that the suspect Osei Kojo Forson has been granted police bail and will appear before court on Tuesday 13th September, 2022.

The Kwaebibirem Municipal Chief Executive; Hon. Seth Antwi Boasiako speaking to the media revealed that the security system in the municipality needs to be beefed up because this unfortunate incident has left people living in Akyem Kade with fear especially when they got information that the suspect Osei Kojo Forson has been granted bail by the police the next day he was arrested.

He has therefore called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. George Akuffo Dampare to get his men in the Municipality into serious action because they can’t continue to live in fear and panic.

Some of the eye witnesses who were attending their relatives funeral at the funeral grounds speaking to the media narrated how the suspect Osei Kojo Forson came to the grounds with a pump action gun and started giving warning shots with reasons unknown and even threatened to kill anyone who dares to stop him from firing.
