Over 30 young men who have given up smoking Marijuana popularly known as weed at Mankessim in the Central Region made their way to church during the 31st Watch night service to surrender their lives to Jesus Christ.

The drug addicts from various ‘wee ghettos’ at Mankessim gathered themselves and matched to Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Bethel Congregation at Mankessim and requested for prayers as they declared repentance.

Their repentance follows a recent evangelism by the church members at some “wee ghettos at Mankessim.

Accepting them, the Minister in charge of Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Bethel Congregation at Mankessim, Rev. Samuel Addico said it is good for such people to accept Christ and have a change of life.

He said these young men accepting Christ is the most happiest news to hear in the new year and assured to rally behind them.

Rev. Samuel Addico advised others who are also into drug addiction to learn from their colleagues and also turn on a new leaf.

The repented drug addicts in an interview,  Yaw Boagyan said they have seen Jesus Christ and want a new life from their criminal activities as they entered 2024.

They promised to set their smoking place ablaze to show their seriousness in Christ.
