Friday 31st July 2020, has been declared a statutory public holiday, according to a press release issued from the Ministry of Interior and signed by the sector minster, Ambrose Dery.
The release dated was issued in acknowledgment of the forthcoming Eid-Al-Adha festivities on Friday.
The statement read:
“The general public is hereby reminded that Friday, July 31, 2020, which marks Eid-Al-Adha, is a statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country. The general public is advised to observe the safety protocols associated with the novel coronavirus pandemic especially in relation to social events at public places”.
