3 feared dead after ‘trotro’ runs into traders at mallam junction
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

A commercial vehicle (trotro) with registration number AS 4719-18 has reportedly run into traders at Mallam Junction, resulting in three deaths.

The incident occurred when the brakes of the vehicle reportedly failed, and the driver lost control.

Consequently, the vehicle veered off the road into traders selling along the shoulders of the road.

While some traders noticed the approaching danger and managed to flee, others were struck by the out-of-control vehicle before they could react.

Three traders were trapped under the trotro, requiring considerable effort to rescue them.

This incident comes after one person died and two others were in critical condition following an accident at Aseseaso in the Eastern region.

The unfortunate incident involved staff from Koforidua Senior High Technical School who were returning to Koforidua after attending the funeral of a colleague’s spouse in Akwamufie, Asuogyaman District.
