A tragic road accident occurred at Manso Watreso in the Amansie South District of the Ashanti Region, resulting in the deaths of three individuals.

According to reports, the incident happened on Monday, August 4, 2025, when two motorbikes, one with two riders and the other with a single rider, collided head-on, causing both vehicles to catch fire.

Despite attempts by bystanders to extinguish the flames, the victims unfortunately succumbed to their injuries.

The Assembly Member for the Manso Watreso Electoral Area, Kofir Mensah, stated that one person died instantly, while two others died later at the hospital.

Preliminary investigations suggest that one of the motorbikes was carrying fuel, which likely triggered the explosion and subsequent fire.

The severely burnt bodies have been taken to the St Martin’s Hospital morgue in Agroyesum.
