A 25-year-old man, Emmanuel Agyekum, is battling for his life at the Abirem Government Hospital after being brutally attacked by two individuals believed to be his cousins at Akyem Maamaso in the Birim North Municipality of the Eastern Region.

According to reports, the attack was triggered by a dispute over an uncompleted building belonging to Emmanuel’s late father.

Emmanuel had reportedly taken steps to complete the structure, which allegedly angered some family members.

The confrontation escalated after Emmanuel refused an invitation from his aunt for a discussion regarding the property.

This led to a verbal exchange, after which the two suspects launched a violent attack, allegedly severing one of his hands and inflicting multiple machete wounds on other parts of his body.

The assailants are currently on the run, and police are searching for them.

Speaking to Journalists , the victim’s mother, Selina Amoah, narrated the incident and appealed to authorities to ensure justice is served for her son.
