Ghana’s contingent at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France will leave for the multisport competition on Wednesday, July 10.
This is according to Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) President Ben Nunoo Mensah who stated this at the official unveiling of Team Ghana’s kit for this year’s Games.
The GOC President in an interview with Channel One Sports, thanked the French Embassy in Ghana for its financial contribution to the Ghanaian contingent.
The French Embassy in Ghana contributed 20,000 Euros to Team Ghana and the organization’s Cooperation Attaché, Marine Hayem, stated that the contribution shows the French Embassy in Ghana’s commitment to support sports in Ghana. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
This year’s Olympics will run from July 26 to August 11 with nine athletes making up Team Ghana that is headlined by 2023 African Games high jump champion Rose Yeboah.
Yeboah won her second gold medal in the event at the Africa Athletics Championship held recently in Douala, Cameroon.
