The personal driver of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Joseph Addo, has lost the La Dadekotopon parliamentary elections to Rita Naa Odoley Sowah.

Rita, the incumbent MP, floored the NPP parliamentary candidate securing 16,976 votes.

With votes collated, her closest contender, Joseph Addo pulled 8,410 votes.

Meanwhile, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, officially conceded defeat to his main opponent, John Dramani Mahama, in Ghana’s 2024 Presidential Election.

Dr. Bawumia made the announcement at a press conference on Sunday, December 8, 2024, emphasizing that his decision to concede defeat was motivated by the need to reduce tension and preserve national peace.

He promised that his government would ensure a smooth transition of power to John Mahama and is available to help when the need arises.
