2023/24 MTN FA Cup: Preliminary round draw held

MTN FA CUP: 22/23 season to kick-off on November 1

The draw for the preliminary round of the MTN FA Cup took place at the GFA Secretariat on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, revealing a series of thrilling matchups set to unfold across the country.

In a bid to create regional and proximity-based clusters, clubs have been zoned, setting the stage for numerous local derbies at various match venues.

Football enthusiasts can expect an electrifying display of talent and intense rivalries as teams vie for a coveted spot in the next round.

These much-anticipated fixtures are scheduled to take place from Friday, October 27 to Monday, October 30, 2023.

Among the standout matchups, fans can anticipate a fiery contest between Wa Suntaa and local Maana in Wa, while Tamale will bear witness to an epic battle between Steadfast and Tamale City.

Akim Tafo will host a clash between Okwawu United and Kotoku Royals FC, and Beposo will be the arena for the face-off between Asekem FC and King Faisal, promising an action-packed showdown.

The victors of this preliminary round will earn the privilege of advancing to the Round of 64, where they will join the ranks of the 18 Premier League Clubs in the MTN FA Cup competition.
