The Thursday contest between Ghana and Sudan ended in dramatic fashion after youngster Suraj Seidu scored in injury time to seal a 3-1 victory for the Black Galaxies.
Ghana today faced off with Sudan in the second Group C match of the 2022 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) tournament.
In a contest that was tagged a must-win game for Ghana, the Black Galaxies did not impress in the early parts of the game.
With Sudan taking advantage to grow in confidence, the team scored in the 32ndminute through Al-gozoli Nooh following a very good sequence of play that caught the Ghana defense in sixes and sevens.
Unfortunately, Sudan could not hold onto the lead before the halftime break. A close-range finish from defender Konadu Yiadom restored parity for the Black Galaxies to set up the second half for an exciting contest.
After the break, both sides gave it their all in the quest to net the vital winning goal.
With two goals being ruled out in the second half, Ghana, fortunately, scored twice with no qualms.
Goals from Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Suraj Seidu were enough to seal a 3-1 win for the Black Galaxies of Ghana.
Ghana is now through to the quarter-finals of the 2022 CHAN tournament.
