A 19-year-old Senior High Student was pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital in Anum Boso in the Eastern Region after the lady reportedly set herself ablaze in her room.

The student [name withheld] reportedly returned from school about a month ago and started asking the mother who the father was but the mother allegedly refused to disclose who the father was.

This reportedly infiltrated the 19-year-old who rushed to her room, locked herself up and set herself ablaze.

The sad incident has thrown the entire family into disarray as the mother; Akua Obiribea was rushed to the hospital after she collapsed.

Madam Akua Obiribea speaking on 3FM explained that anytime she remembers or speaks about the incident, she experiences heart aches and therefore would not want to comment further about the issue.

Madam Obiribea said in Twi dialect “she [late 19-year-old-lady] came from school in about a month now”.

“She is 19-years-old and it happened on Friday [April 29, 2022]. She died in the hospital”.
