At least fifteen people have been killed following a head-on collision between a Ford Transit bus and an ambulance on the Kumasi–Sunyani road.

The Ford Transit, bearing registration number GT 5676-19, was en route from Kumasi to Drobo when it reportedly collided with an ambulance transporting a pregnant woman from Brobo to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for emergency medical care.

All 15 passengers aboard the Ford Transit died at the scene.

The authorities have not yet confirmed the condition of the pregnant woman and other occupants of the ambulance.

The bodies of the deceased have been transported to the Mankranso Hospital morgue as investigations into the cause of the accident continue.
